To prepare for Wednesday's meeting, I wondered what over-arching objectives had already been covered by the core classes.

I overlaid the over-arching objectives claimed by the regions of the core that have already gone through the process with the credit hours for each of the pieces of the core that are state mandated.

Attached is a spreadsheet of our core-area-by-core-area claimed overarching objectives weighted by the credit hours.  I was surprised to note that some of our over-arching objectives are not explicitly claimed by the areas in the core.  I was also surprised by the overlapping coverage of some of the over-arching objectives.

I submit that we should cover some of the omitted, or lightly covered, over-arching objectives, or eliminate them from our overarching objectives list.OverArchingObjectivesTally.xls. Thank you. Jim Conover
